About the Role
We are partnering with an innovative AI-driven company, Tesorai, to find a Senior Software Engineer - Cloud & Data Pipelines who will play a key role in building and scaling next-generation data infrastructure in the life sciences space.
This is a high-impact, hands-on engineering role with strong ownership and technical leadership. You will be responsible for designing and scaling cloud-native data pipelines, powering AI and LLM-driven workflows that process complex scientific data at scale. You’ll work closely with machine learning and research teams, influencing both architecture and execution while contributing directly to production systems.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and scale cloud-based data pipelines for large, complex datasets
- Own end-to-end data workflows (ingestion, validation, transformation, storage, serving)
- Collaborate with ML teams on AI and LLM-powered solutions
- Develop and optimise systems on GCP and AWS (batch, streaming, hybrid)
- Drive improvements in performance, reliability, observability, and cost efficiency
- Lead technical initiatives from concept through to production
- Contribute to engineering best practices and system architecture
Requirements
5+ years of experience in software engineering or data engineering roles
Strong expertise in building scalable cloud data pipelines
Strong DevOps experience (for example, system architectures with Vercel, Temporal, etc.)
Hands-on experience with GCP and/or AWS
Solid understanding of distributed systems and data processing
Proficient in Python
Experience working with or integrating LLMs/AI systems is highly desirable
Strong communication skills and ability to take ownership end-to-end
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment
